Short videos introduce you to contract-language topics from A Manual of Style for Contract Drafting (MSCD) and cover Ken Adams’s latest thinking. And quizzes test your knowledge of a topic.

To learn, it helps to tackle a topic in different ways. Start with a video, then go to MSCD. Or go from a video or Ken’s live training to MSCD, then go the quiz, to test what you’ve learned. Then do the quiz again. The goal is to help you become an informed consumer of contract language.

The 45 videos and two quizzes that are now available are just the start. Ken plans to add every month 20 new videos and a few quizzes. The library will ultimately contain around 300 videos.

  • What’s included?

    Go here for a list of the videos and quizzes currently available and those in progress. Each video is accompanied by a downloadable transcript and text citing resources. And each quiz question is multiple-choice and includes an explanation.

  • What does it cost?

    US$30 a month or $300 a year. Subscriptions renew automatically.

  • Do I need a copy of A Manual of Style for Contract Drafting?

    MSCD is the foundation of Ken’s training. Its 667 pages contain plenty of complexity and detail. The videos make MSCD more accessible, and the quizzes test your understanding. Doing On Demand without also consulting MSCD would be pointless. Individual subscribers get 30% off MSCD. Organizations subscribing groups of ten or more get a substantial discount off the price of MSCD.

  • Is it suitable for those outside the United States?

    Just as MSCD is consulted around the world, anyone who works with contracts in English should find On Demand worthwhile, no matter where they're located.

  • How do I cancel my subscription?

    Log into your Thinkific account, go to “My Account” or “Billing,” and select “Cancel.” That will stop future payments, but you will have access until the end of that billing cycle.

  • Can I bundle On Demand with Ken’s other offerings?

    Individuals who subscribe to On Demand can also register for Ken’s Drafting Clear Contracts live training (a presentation or Masterclass) at a discount—US$100 off for a presentation and US$150 off for Masterclass. Discounts are available for organizations.

  • Can I interact with Ken?

  • Will I get continuing-legal-education credit for time spent on On Demand materials?

    No one will get continuing-legal-education credit for watching the videos or taking the quizzes—it would be too annoying to administer!
