On Demand
Videos and quizzes. Your schedule.
Short videos cover topics from A Manual of Style for Contract Drafting (MSCD) and reflect Ken Adams’s latest thinking. And quizzes test your understanding of a topic.
The goal is to help you become an informed consumer of contract language. To learn, it helps to tackle a topic in different ways. Start with a video to get an introduction, then go to MSCD. Or go from a video or Ken’s live training to MSCD, then go a quiz, to reinforce what you’ve learned.
Ken is an engaging speaker with 20 years’ experience. And his unmatched mastery of his subject is reflected in the sophistication of the quizzes.
The 45 videos and four quizzes now available are just the start. Every month, 25 new videos and a few quizzes will be added. The library will ultimately contain around 400 videos.
Drafting Clearer Contracts: On Demand is for individuals and for organizations.
Individuals have long seen the value of the control you get from becoming, through MSCD, an informed consumer of contract language. Individuals subscribe by clicking on the subscribe button below.
Companies, law firms, and government agencies around the world have seen the benefit of Ken’s training. If you’re from an organization and want a group have access to On Demand, contact Ken, at [email protected].
On Demand’s videos aren’t standard sitting-at-a-desk talking-head videos. Instead, Ken speaks to you from different parts of his home.
Go here for a list of the videos and quizzes currently available and those in progress. Each video is accompanied by a downloadable transcript and text citing relevant resources. And each quiz question is multiple-choice and includes a detailed explanation. The quizzes cover what’s in MSCD, not just what’s in the videos.
Because On Demand is starting small, with videos and quizzes being added over the course of a year, you access the materials by subscribing, at US$30 a month or $300 a year. Subscriptions renew automatically. Once the work of adding materials has mostly been completed, we’ll probably adjust our pricing.
MSCD is the foundation of Ken’s training. Its 667 pages contain plenty of complexity and detail. The videos make MSCD more accessible, and the quizzes test your understanding.
Doing On Demand without also consulting MSCD wouldn’t get you far. Individual subscribers get 30% off MSCD. Organizations subscribing groups of ten or more get a substantial discount off the price of MSCD.
Just as MSCD is consulted around the world, anyone who works with contracts in English should find On Demand worthwhile, no matter where they're located.
Log into your Thinkific account, go to “My Account” or “Billing,” and select “Cancel.” That will stop future payments, but you will have access until the end of that billing cycle.
Individuals who subscribe to On Demand may use the discount code “OnDemand” to get US$150 off a series of Masterclass and may use the discount code “pOnDemand” to get US$100 off Drafting Clearer Contracts: Presentation. If you’re with an organization, email Ken at [email protected] to arrange discounts.
Use the discussion button in each lesson to ask questions, report glitches, or make suggestions. Upload images (under 10MB) and files (under 30MB). And Ken is just an email away, at [email protected].

No one will get continuing-legal-education credit for watching the videos or taking the quizzes—it would be too annoying to administer!
